Duxford Summer Airshow

Saturday July 4Sunday July 5

The Duxford Summer Air Show takes place on 4–5 July 2026 at Imperial War Museum Duxford, with advance booking essential. Tickets for each day close at midnight the night before, making this the last chance to secure entry.

The event promises a full day of entertainment both in the air and on the ground. Visitors can enjoy spectacular flying displays featuring historic warbirds, modern military aircraft, aerobatic performances and unique flying formations. A special highlight this year is a celebration of 250 years of US Independence, recognising Duxford’s role as the wartime home of the US Army Air Force’s 78th Fighter Group during the second world war.

Beyond the flying programme, there’s plenty for families to enjoy. The showground includes a funfair with rides, mini golf, face painting and stunt bag jumps, alongside Discovery Zones where children can take part in hands-on activities, follow family trails and meet scientists, storytellers and museum experts. Live music, food stalls and a wide variety of refreshments add to the festival atmosphere throughout the day.

Visitors also have access to IWM Duxford’s renowned museum exhibitions and historic hangars, where they can explore iconic aircraft and fascinating wartime collections, including the award-winning American Air Museum. These exhibitions are included in the admission ticket, making the event much more than an air display.

With kids admitted free with standard adult tickets, the Duxford Summer Air Show offers an action-packed day out for aviation enthusiasts, history lovers and families alike, combining world-class flying with interactive activities and one of Britain’s finest aviation museums.
