Duxford Air Show

Sunday June 19, 2022

The ever-popular Duxford Air Show is back this weekend (June 18-19) at Imperial War Museum Duxford.

Look out for world-class formation display team the Blades, the Red Arrows (flypast, Saturday only), Avro Lancaster (Saturday only), RAF Falcons and the Bremont Great War Display Team. Expect to also see Spitfires and Hurricanes in action in homage to Duxford’s role in the Second World War, as well as daring aerial acts from the Aerosuperbatic Wing Walkers. Connor Dimmock, Aircraft Restoration Company engineer, works on repairing the engine of the Spitfire Mk1a N3200 at IWM Duxford in preparation for the Duxford Summer Air Show. Picture: Keith Heppell.

Meanwhile, on the ground, visitors can enjoy live music, circus comedy and workshops with Fitup Productions, meet exotic animals with the team from Zoolab, see a traditional steam fair, meet and learn from living history groups, and access the Flightline walk (before noon) to see all the aircraft and crews up close.

Visitors will also be able to explore IWM Duxford’s exhibitions and array of aircraft, tanks and boats and are advised to bring a bottle of water, folding chairs or picnic blankets. Windbreaks are also permitted. The following are not allowed on site: dogs or other animals, barbeques, step ladders or stools, tents.
