Green councillor says statue gives misogynistic message

The artist behind a controversial statue at Cambridge station says it was never his intention to upset people.

Green Party Councillor Naomi Bennett asked a meeting of the City Council if the statue could be reviewed following the removal of The Don from Hills Road.

The statue depicts a woman covered in a sheet and tied up in ropes.

Green Councillor Jean Glasberg told Julian Clover it gives out a misogynistic message to visitors.
