When the solar eclipse can be seen in Cambridge

The UK’s skies will turn dark when the moon passes the sun early this evening (August 12).

It won’t be a total solar eclipse, like in 1999, but most of the country will see around 90-percent of the star blocked out.

Paul Fellows, who’s chair of the Cambridge Astronomical Association, describes what might be in store locally.
