Cambridge United could build new stadium on airport site

Cambridge United are exploring plans for a new 15,000-seat stadium on the site of Cambridge Airport.

The club says it will work with developers Hill Group and the Greater Cambridge Development Corporation to assess whether the project is feasible.

The proposed stadium would be around two miles from the Abbey Stadium, the club’s current home.

An initial feasibility study is expected to be completed by Easter.
