Organisers of Cambridge’s Mill Road Winter Fair are warning that next year’s event could be the last unless more money can be raised.
The popular event, which returns on 5 December, made a £3,000 loss last year, with running costs rising by almost 80% over the past two years.
Jonathan Goodacre, who chairs the Winter Fair told Julian Clover on Cambridge Breakfast, the increasing cost of safety measures has gradually eaten into the event’s financial reserves.
