John Gannon looks back on the 50th anniversary on the arrival of pirate radio, which changed the face of British Broadcasting forever. It was 12 noon on Easter Saturday, March 28, 1964 when Radio Caroline began its first transmission. So, expect to hear facts, figures and plenty of jingles – but most of all a large slice of all the great music that was being beamed to us in those brilliant pirate radio days from 1964 to 1967.
