The Day the Pirates took over

On Good Friday (April 3rd) the crew of the Riverboat Georgina made way for the presenters and engineers from Cambridge 105 to broadcast in the style of the offshore radio pirates who were on air from the 1960s through the early 1990s. The event was sponsored by Lost in Vinyl.

Securing the future of Community Radio

Cambridge Radio is the Community broadcaster for Cambridge and South Cambs.

Our brief is to give a voice to those sometimes excluded from traditional media. And the presenters you hear on air are all volunteers themselves who give up their time for free. We do it because we believe our perspective matters – because it might well be your perspective, too.

If everyone who listens to our shows, our podcasts, the businesses we feature, helps to pay for it, our future would be much more secure.

You can support Cambridge Radio by giving monthly or by making a one-off contribution.
