Chris pays tribute to legendary producer Rick Hall, who died this week aged 85. Hall founded FAME studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, and is largely credited with being responsible for the distinctive soulful sound that was not only the bread and butter of artists such as Wilson Pickett and Aretha Franklin, but also heavily influenced the country and pop music of the age, from George Jones to The Osmonds.
