Leigh Chambers and Alex Ruczaj present a fortnightly show featuring Cambridge based writers. We're focusing on fiction for young people this week. Our studio guest is Chris Priestley. His macabre gothic horror stories have been a great hit with young readers, often reworking familiar Victorian ghost stories. We also have interviews with multi-talented Glenn Dakin. As well as writing an Emmy award winning episode of Shaun the Sheep and working for Marvel Comics, Glenn is also completing his series of Candleman books and he tells us how he juggles all these different forms of writing. Caroline Lawrence, award-winning author of The Roman Mysteries, guides us around Cambridge's Museum of Classical Archaeology reflecting on what inspires her. Victorian ghosts, sheep and the secrets of the Parthenon. Programme Website
