Tony Barnfield pays tribute to one of Hollywood's biggest female stars of all time, Doris Day, who died in May aged 97. Starring in such films as Calamity Jane and Move Over, Darling, her leading men included Rock Hudson, Clark Gable and David Niven. She also enjoyed success as a singer, from her 1945 hit Sentimental Journey to 2011's My Heart, which made her the oldest artist to feature in the UK top ten album chart.
