Roundabout celebrates its 200th edition with a look at the news. After yesterday’s first Coronavirus death in Europe, award-winning science broadcaster and virologist Dr Chris Smith, alias The Naked Scientist, tells Tony Barnfield that the risk of someone in Cambridge catching Covid-19 is “extremely high”. And Matt Webb meets David Lowe, composer of the music for BBC television news, prompting Tony to reflect on some of the best-known signature tunes of all time.
Securing the future of Community Radio
Cambridge 105 Radio is the Community broadcaster for the city and South Cambridgeshire.
Our brief is to give a voice to those sometimes excluded from traditional media. And the presenters you hear on air are all volunteers themselves who give up their time for free. We do it because we believe our perspective matters – because it might well be your perspective, too.
If everyone who listens to our shows, our podcasts, the businesses we feature, helps to pay for it, our future would be much more secure.
You can support Cambridge 105 Radio by giving monthly or by making a one-off contribution.
