Paul Christoforou 15/06/2026

There was a surprise for the Cambridge Radio team during our live broadcast from Strawberry Fair when 2 members of the original group that founded the event in 1974 dropped by to share their memories. You can hear that conversation of this edition of Rock of Ages, along with the documentary Here Is The News, It’s Strawberry Fair. Narrated by Nicole Horst and Alex Machell, it tells the story of one of Cambridge’s most iconic community events.

Securing the future of Community Radio

Cambridge Radio is the Community broadcaster for Cambridge and South Cambs.

Our brief is to give a voice to those sometimes excluded from traditional media. And the presenters you hear on air are all volunteers themselves who give up their time for free. We do it because we believe our perspective matters – because it might well be your perspective, too.

If everyone who listens to our shows, our podcasts, the businesses we feature, helps to pay for it, our future would be much more secure.

You can support Cambridge Radio by giving monthly or by making a one-off contribution.
