The New Music Generator, Cambridge 105’s weekly showcase of local artists, is taking to the stage with a live gig this Wednesday (July 11th).
Joining 105 Drive’s Tim Willett on stage at The Portland Arms in Chesterton Road are Music & Spies, The Motortapes and Isaac’s Aircraft (pictured)
Doors open at 19:30 with the first act on stage at 20:00
20:00 – 20:45: Music & Spies
Duo – A mixture of country, pop, cool stuff and acoustic guitars, seasoned with black pepper. we like to keep life easy and the music mellow with two acoustic guitars and the occasional banjo, but still manage to keep everyone laughing, singing and not falling asleep.
21:00 – 21:50: The Motortapes
Four-piece band from Cambridge, recently played the Big Weekend at Parker’s Piece and have spent six weeks inside the Unsigned Chart with their record ‘Aspirin’.
22:00 – 22:55: Issac’s Aircraft
Stepping up into the headline slot, Cambridge favourites Isaac’s Aircraft will play some tracks from their back catalogue and premier some new material.
Isaac’s Aircraft are from Cambridge, England, and consist of Calum, lead guitar, percussion and bass, Adam, percussion and drums, Zak, vocals, acoustic guitar and synth and Martin, piano.
As multi-instrumentalists and versatile songwriters they have proven to have a wide appeal, supporting artists as diverse as The Zutons, Amy Winehouse, Ed Sheeran, The Like and Chakras.
NMG Sessions Live! will be broadcast live in a special programme on Cambridge 105 starting at 7pm.
