Flavour: 16th November 2013 – The Park Restaurant at CRC.

We visit The Park at Cambridge Regional College, a brasserie run by the college’s cookery students. Chat with Stella Pereira, a cake artist at the Norfolk Street Bakery (“The eyes also eat”, she says), and who is about to begin her own Supper Club. Stella specialises not just in cakes but in all food, particularly Portuguese dishes.

Ingredients4chefs is a Bury St. Edmunds-based online mail order outfit helping you source unusual (and exclusive) ingredients & cooking equipment. Development chef and brand ambassador Jeremy Medley tells us about his company; one of The Times’ and The Independents’ world top 50 food websites.

Aoife Maxwell returns with this month’s cocktail (think sloes and rosehips), and we report on some of the latest food and drink news in the city. And Tom Lewis the Cambridge Wine Blogger joins us in the studio once again, this time to talk about wines from the Beaujolais region of France.

Securing the future of Community Radio

Cambridge Radio is the Community broadcaster for Cambridge and South Cambs.

Our brief is to give a voice to those sometimes excluded from traditional media. And the presenters you hear on air are all volunteers themselves who give up their time for free. We do it because we believe our perspective matters – because it might well be your perspective, too.

If everyone who listens to our shows, our podcasts, the businesses we feature, helps to pay for it, our future would be much more secure.

You can support Cambridge Radio by giving monthly or by making a one-off contribution.
