The Brass Funkeys at Cambridge Junction

The Brass Funkeys are a trailblazer in the new generation of UK Brass Bands.

Formed in 2011, this 9-piece collective has a unique sound forged from their strong personalities and eclectic individual tastes, whilst still paying homage to their New Orleans Brass Band roots. The Brass Funkeys have honed their skills over 14 years playing the club and festival circuits in the UK and Europe, always exploring new musical directions while refining their exciting, eclectic and energetic live show, bursting at the seams with ideas and infectious energy.

Plus support from Sean O’Hanrahan

Sean O’Hanrahan is a singer-songwriter and pianist from Cambridge, U.K. Having found his feet joining bands in his hometown, Sean was able to create his first solo album with performances from fellow musicians in the local music scene. His debut album All Bets Are Off was released in October last year with a sold out Junction show. Sean’s songs are deeply honest confessionals about loss and life paired with intricate, sometimes jazzy piano motifs.
