Scottish Country Dancing – Beginners Course
Tuesday September 8–Tuesday October 20
FreeTaking place at Turnstone Suite, Cambridge Rugby Club
Free 6-week beginners’ course, taught by Saskia Frisby accompanied by Keith Smith on fiddle, every Tuesday from 8 September to 20 October, 7.30-9.30pm.
Scottish country dancing (SCD) is a wonderful way to make new friends and have fun whilst being active. It is traditional, social dancing: you dance with a different partner each dance, in sets with a number of other couples. No previous dance experience is required and no need for a Scottish connection!
Over six weeks, Saskia will take you through a structured programme, teaching you the basic formations and steps, developing your ability to enjoy an increasing number of Scottish dances. The six-week course will be structured such that you will progress from week to week, so you need to sign up for the whole course.
A local charity: Royal Scottish Country Dance Society Cambridge and District branch, charity number 1066008
