Fen Edge Festival

Fen Edge Festival returns to Cottenham this weekend, running from Friday 19 to Sunday 21 June, bringing together the communities of Cottenham, Landbeach, Rampton, Waterbeach and Willingham for three days of entertainment, music, sport and family activities. Organised by the Fen Edge Community Association, the festival is one of the largest community events in South Cambridgeshire, attracting thousands of visitors each year and raising money for local clubs, societies and community groups.
The festival opens on Friday evening before a packed programme across Saturday and Sunday. Visitors can expect live music, arena displays, community performances, stalls, food and drink vendors, children’s activities and a wide range of attractions designed to appeal to all ages. The event is centred around Cottenham Village Green and nearby venues, creating a festival atmosphere across the village.
A major feature of the weekend is the extensive programme of local performers, giving musicians, choirs, dance groups and community organisations the opportunity to showcase their talents. Alongside the entertainment, visitors can browse dozens of craft, charity and commercial stalls, with previous festivals attracting an estimated 3,000 to 4,000 visitors on each day.
Families are particularly well catered for, with activities, games and demonstrations taking place throughout the weekend. Sporting opportunities include free tennis sessions and coaching taster events hosted by Cottenham Tennis Club on Saturday afternoon, while community groups from across the Fen Edge villages will be demonstrating the wide range of activities available locally.
