Cambridge 105 is getting ready to stage its second World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
On Friday 26 September from 10am – listeners are being invited to the station’s studios and offices in the Gwydir Street Enterprise Centre, to enjoy tea, coffee and cake in the company of their favourite Cambridge 105 presenters.
The community radio station held its first coffee morning in 2013 – raising nearly £200 for Macmillan.
Like last year, the event will be broadcast live on the radio and feature interviews with special guests and listeners.
Presenter Matt Webb, who’s been organising the event, says: “We’ve built up a strong relationship with Macmillan locally, during the last 12 months. This includes supporting their first 10K run at Milton Country Park. The coffee morning is a great opportunity for our listeners and presenters to come together and raise money to support the vital work of the charity.”
Macmillan Cancer Support is one of the largest British charities and provides specialist health care, information and financial support to people affected by cancer.
