Cambridge Radio’s coverage of the Cambridge Folk Festival, Sports and presenters Gavin Richards and Amy Gray have been nominated in the 2025 Community Radio Awards.
The five nominations are the joint highest by any station in this year’s awards and a record number for the station.
Cambridge Radio has been nominated in the Live Event Category for its coverage of the 2024 Cambridge Folk Festival.
There are two nominations in the Sports category, for the fortnightly Women’s Sports Mix, presented by Alex Elbro and Amy Gray, and Habbin the Night of Our Lives, Daniel Baker’s documentary feature on Cambridge United’s 2015 cup shock against Manchester United.
Gavin Richards and Amy Gray have been nominated for Presenter Man and Presenter Woman respectively.
This year’s Community Radio Awards have seen the highest number of entries for a few years from across the UK, reflecting the continued growth, innovation, and impact of community radio. From compelling storytelling and local journalism to creative programming and community engagement, the finalists represent the very best of what community radio has to offer.

The awards ceremony will take place on Saturday 25th October 2025 in Bradford.
