Cambridge 105 to stage Coffee Morning

macmillan-coffee-morning-logoCambridge 105 will be taking part in Macmillan’s annual World’s Biggest Coffee Morning by holding a coffee morning on Friday September 27, 2013 between 10am and 1pm.

The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan Cancer Support’s biggest fundraising event.

Listeners are invited to come along to the Cambridge 105 studios within the Gwydir Street Enterprise Centre, just off Mill Road where you can enjoy tea, coffee and snacks – in the company of your favourite Cambridge 105 presenters.

All we ask is for a small donation of a few pounds when you arrive, which goes directly to Macmillan.

Parking is available locally on Gwydir Street and Norfolk Street, in the pay-and-display areas.

Afternoon presenter, Matt Webb, who has been organising the event said: “We are always proud to support the work of charities, both large and small. We’re hoping to raise a large amount of cash to support the vital work of Macmillan, and would love to see you on the 27th”.

Events are taking place across the UK, where donations from coffee and snack sales are made to Macmillan. In 2012, 115,000 people signed up, raising a record £15 million to support the work of the cancer charity.

Securing the future of Community Radio

Cambridge Radio is the Community broadcaster for Cambridge and South Cambs.

Our brief is to give a voice to those sometimes excluded from traditional media. And the presenters you hear on air are all volunteers themselves who give up their time for free. We do it because we believe our perspective matters – because it might well be your perspective, too.

If everyone who listens to our shows, our podcasts, the businesses we feature, helps to pay for it, our future would be much more secure.

You can support Cambridge Radio by giving monthly or by making a one-off contribution.
