Cambridge 105 will be backstage at the 51st Cambridge Folk Festival with live broadcasts across the weekend.
Presenters Julian Clover, Mandy Morton, Nicola Upson and Les Ray will host coverage that will include artist interviews and performances from local artists.
The coverage is being sponsored by Miller’s Music, the Sussex Street store, which sells and hires instruments from folk to electric.
105 Drive with Julian Clover gets the coverage underway at 4pm on Thursday. It will be followed by a special edition of Strummers & Dreamers, Cambridge 105’s regular programme covering the city’s folk scene at 7pm. 105 Drive also comes from Cherry Hinton Hall on Friday
On Saturday afternoon Mandy Morton leaves the Garden Shed to present a folk-based edition of her monthly gardening show at 1pm. Julian returns at 2pm for the last in the current run of the what’s on and leisure show Summer Saturday.
On Sunday afternoon at 2pm Mandy and Nicola Upson present the monthly arts magazine The Eclectic Light Show.
Julian Clover said: “Live performances form such an important part of what’s heard on Cambridge 105. As a community station you can expect that we’ll be placing an emphasis on local artists and performers, as well as those working behind the scenes.”
