Cambridge 105 to broadcast live from Homegrown Music Festival

Cambridge 105 is to set up camp at the Homegrown Music Festival in Barrow, Bury St Edmunds this weekend (28-30 August). Coverage on the Saturday and Sunday of the event will be broadcast live across Cambridge on 105MHz FM, online at cambridge105.co.uk and the RadioPlayer app.

The premier music event features many of East Anglia’s top music acts, many of who have been featured on Cambridge 105’s New Music Generator, the Wednesday night music show dedicated to unsigned acts from the region.

Presented by Tim Willett, Julian Clover, Neil Whiteside and Leigh Last will bring listeners stage sets and behind the scenes interviews including HARD ACTORS, Mortal Tides, Motor Tapes, The Abstracts, Goldstar vs Grace Sarah, Polar Collective, Ethan Ash, Shaun Colwill, Echo Tree, Mirror Signal, 28 Boulevard, Nina Baker and headliners The Downsetters and Big 10.

Festival Founder Glen Moulds said: “Homegrown Music Festival was developed as a grassroots event to support live music. We present the best of East Anglia’s unsigned talent to thousands of fans each year. We are enthusiastic and passionate about bringing this unique and growing festival to listeners of Cambridge 105 this year”.

Securing the future of Community Radio

Cambridge Radio is the Community broadcaster for Cambridge and South Cambs.

Our brief is to give a voice to those sometimes excluded from traditional media. And the presenters you hear on air are all volunteers themselves who give up their time for free. We do it because we believe our perspective matters – because it might well be your perspective, too.

If everyone who listens to our shows, our podcasts, the businesses we feature, helps to pay for it, our future would be much more secure.

You can support Cambridge Radio by giving monthly or by making a one-off contribution.
