An impressive line-up of local talent including 4th Labyrinth, The Abstracts and 28 Boulevard will perform on the Cambridge 105-New Music Generator stage at the Cambridge Rock Festival.
The Festival will run from August 7 to 10 at the Haggis Farm Polo Club, Barton. Cambridge 105 will broadcast live from the site across all four days and will feature both interviews and live performances.
The community radio station, known as The Home of Cambridge Music, is taking over the running of the Thursday night stage from BBC Radio Cambridgeshire.
Every Wednesday at 7pm the New Music Generator showcases the best in emerging talent.
First on stage will be 4th Labyrinth (winners of the Strawberry Fair Cambridge Band Competition 2014). They will be joined by The Abstracts (just 3 weeks away from becoming the second ‘double 20 week runner’ in the Cambridge 105 Unsigned Chart); 28 Boulevard (fresh from their UK tour); The Simpletone (winners of Cambridge Band Competition 2013, and playing CRF for second year in a row) and London-based prog-metal trio Kyrbgrinder.
Cambridge 105 Station Manager and Presenter of the New Music Generator Tim Willett said: “I’m thrilled to have been asked to put together the line-up for the Cambridge 105-New Music Generator Stage. Cambridge has a wealth of young talent and the Cambridge Rock Festival is the ideal event to enjoy live music.”
