The people of Cambridge have helped Cambridge 105 bring in £1,222.27 for Red Nose Day.
The community radio station broadcast a day-long fundraiser on Friday (March 15th) with live broadcasts from the Trumpington Park & Ride, Sidney Street, and Sainsbury’s Coldhams Lane.
Taking on board the Red Nose Day motto of ‘Do something funny for money’, activities included a recreation of the ‘3’ dancing horse advertisement by breakfast presenters Tim & Lottie, and live musical performances from Flaming June and the children of Manor School in Arbury. Meanwhile, the staff of Sainsbury’s on Coldhams Lane took part in a flash-mob style routine of ‘Oops Upside Your Head’ live on air.
£827.27 was collected in cash on the day with a further £350 coming from the Cambridge 105 Just Giving page.
