Today’s show reviews some brand new films that dust off old familiar themes: rivalry is dangerous both on and off the racetrack in Ron Howard’s Rush, The Eternal City of Rome once again poses for the cameras in The Great Beauty, young lovers go on the run in Ain’t Them Bodies Saints, and true love is tried again and again and again in Richard Curtis’ About Time. Plus, with only days to go until the Cambridge Film Festival we finish our previews with a look at the Short Fusion screenings happening right across the 10 days.
