Neil Whiteside, one half of Cambridge 105 Radio’s Breakfast with Neil & Linda, is to abseil the 80 feet down The Guildhall in aid of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).
Neil is currently part of the broadcaster’s coverage of the Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon. At lunchtime on Sunday (May 13th), he’ll be flying into Luton airport where a car will be waiting to take him to Cambridge City Centre.
EACH, which support families and care for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk, is Cambridge 105 Radio’s Charity of the Month in May.
Neil Whiteside said: “I’m delighted that EACH is Cambridge 105 Radio’s Charity of the Month. We’ve supported them in the past – my colleague Mike Hauser has done a couple of marathon 24-hour broadcasts to raise money and awareness for them. Now it’s my turn.”
Neil’s Breakfast co-presenter Linda Ness said: “EACH is such a great cause. I really hope Neil’s abseil raises much needed cash for them and their facility in Milton. If it doesn’t work out I’ll be choosing the music on Monday from 7am.”
