More than 400 volunteers are getting ready to welcome visitors to this year’s Thriplow Daffodil Weekend (20-21 March), the village charity event is packed with family activities, live music and more than 100 stalls.
Organisers say the two-day fundraiser offers everything from Morris dancers and blacksmiths to street food and homemade cakes. The Weekend was first held in 1969 to raise funds to repair the church roof, but now supports village and county-wide causes, as Paul Earnshaw told Julian Clover on Cambridge Breakfast.
