This month, a review of Richard Goldstein's incredibly interesting book Another Little Piece of My Heart. He knew everyone, great friends with Janis Joplin, Paul Simon, Velvet Underground played at his wedding! An original thinker, he convincingly criticised Sgt Pepper as a backward step for the Beatles, castigated Timothy Leary for his ignorance of the impact of race and culture on LSD experiences. His book brings together the music and radical politics of the late 60s. We play the music that goes with it too. Hosted by Alan Alder Programme Website
