Derry has dipped into the transfer market in the January window singing left back Jake Carroll from Hartlepool. The London born Irish raised full back has made 61 appearances for Hartlepool and already played 21 times this year so is well accustomed to this level of football. Carroll started his career over in Ireland before moving over to Huddersfield, he struggled to make an impact for the Terriers and after a few loan spells moved to Hartlepool after his contract ran down. Derry is pleased with the addition stating that he thinks Carroll can provide an option that they don’t currently have.
