After 11 years, two groundshares and a lot of off-field struggles, Cambridge City finally moved into their new stadium at Sawston in November 2024. In this special show, Daniel Baker meets the people who helped the Lilywhites realise their dream of playing at their own ground again including Kevin Satchell, Alice Dewey, Dan Barnes and Neil Harvey. We find out how the first 12 months have gone, how the club overcame challenges and how the internal fit-out will elevate the Community Stadium in 2026.

Cambridge Radio is the Community broadcaster for Cambridge and South Cambs.

Our brief is to give a voice to those sometimes excluded from traditional media. And the presenters you hear on air are all volunteers themselves who give up their time for free. We do it because we believe our perspective matters – because it might well be your perspective, too.
