The Business of Cambridge: How do you run a sustainable business?

It’s something which is so high on the agenda now, in a way we simply haven’t seen before. Customers are demanding less packaging. We’re becoming conscious about food miles and realising the impact of fast fashion on our environment and the people actually making the clothes. And how environmentally friendly is our workplace?

For business owners, it can be tough knowing what to do for the best. Which processes to change. Which will have the most impact. And how you’re going to pay for it.

Dr Jessica Ocamps is the Founder and CEO of Camnexus, a platform for businesses to manage water, energy and other resources. Together with Dr Shima Barakat, Director of the Entrepreneurship for Sustainability Programme at the University, we’ll explore common challenges and offer practical suggestions for running a more sustainable business.

Securing the future of Community Radio

Cambridge Radio is the Community broadcaster for Cambridge and South Cambs.

Our brief is to give a voice to those sometimes excluded from traditional media. And the presenters you hear on air are all volunteers themselves who give up their time for free. We do it because we believe our perspective matters – because it might well be your perspective, too.

If everyone who listens to our shows, our podcasts, the businesses we feature, helps to pay for it, our future would be much more secure.

You can support Cambridge Radio by giving monthly or by making a one-off contribution.
