The Science Show 14/07/2012 – Alzheimer’s + Purifying industrial water

In this cross Atlantic show, the Science Show’s Chris Creese talks to experimental psychologist Brianne Kent about Alzheimer’s disease; memory and why love is a drug. Brianne Kent is working on a PhD in experimental psychology at the University of Cambridge. She is studying Alzheimer’s disease and finding out how memories form in the brain. Brianne also tells about dopamine, a brain chemical that figures in drug addiction and as we fall in love.

Securing the future of Community Radio

Cambridge Radio is the Community broadcaster for Cambridge and South Cambs.

Our brief is to give a voice to those sometimes excluded from traditional media. And the presenters you hear on air are all volunteers themselves who give up their time for free. We do it because we believe our perspective matters – because it might well be your perspective, too.

If everyone who listens to our shows, our podcasts, the businesses we feature, helps to pay for it, our future would be much more secure.

You can support Cambridge Radio by giving monthly or by making a one-off contribution.
