Phil Rowe: Cambridgeshire Hearing Help

Hearing loss affects all of us. About 1 in 6 adults have a hearing loss and by the age of 70 it is well over 50% of the population. The truth is most of us will have to learn to live with hearing loss, whether our own, or that of a loved one. Cambridgeshire Hearing Help are now running free workshops to support people who are concerned about hearing loss, whether for themselves or as carers for others. Francis Dewhurst is the Living Well with Hearing Loss Project Manager for Cambridgeshire Hearing Help and she joins Phil Rowe.

Securing the future of Community Radio

Cambridge 105 Radio is the Community broadcaster for the city and South Cambridgeshire.

Our brief is to give a voice to those sometimes excluded from traditional media. And the presenters you hear on air are all volunteers themselves who give up their time for free. We do it because we believe our perspective matters – because it might well be your perspective, too.

If everyone who listens to our shows, our podcasts, the businesses we feature, helps to pay for it, our future would be much more secure.
