Mission 676: Day 3

North Yorkshire MoorsDay 3 saw Jez facing the prospect of the North Yorkshire Moors (pictured left) and the first off-road terrain of the walk.

Despite the improved weather he didn’t have much time to appreciate the scenery.

The biggest concern for Jez today was to keep his concentration going, to stop him falling on the difficult terrain, with the possibility of injuring an ankle or knee and so putting an early end to the whole project.

Jez had time during the day to consider footballing matters and reflected on how important the next few days were to the Cambridge United as they prepared for Wednesday evenings first leg of the play-off semi finals against Halifax FC.  A good performance here would put them the driving seat for the second leg at the Abbey Stadium on Sunday, and give them a crack at a second Wembley visit of the year to try and win a place in the football league.

The club is asking for donations to be made through its Just Giving page.

Securing the future of Community Radio

Cambridge Radio is the Community broadcaster for Cambridge and South Cambs.

Our brief is to give a voice to those sometimes excluded from traditional media. And the presenters you hear on air are all volunteers themselves who give up their time for free. We do it because we believe our perspective matters – because it might well be your perspective, too.

If everyone who listens to our shows, our podcasts, the businesses we feature, helps to pay for it, our future would be much more secure.

You can support Cambridge Radio by giving monthly or by making a one-off contribution.
