Mission 676: Day 27 and its all over!!

The Mission676 Team at the finish27 days after watching Jez disappear into the rain on a miserable morning in Newcastle to cross off his first two Premier League grounds, we finally watched him arrive at Carrow Road (home of Norwich City FC) on a glorious sunny afternoon.

He’s been picked up by the police, nearly killed by passing lorries, suffered with many, many blisters and had the strangest haircut experience ever.  At the end of it all he emerged, largely unscathed, to take the, well deserved, applause outside the main entrance.

On reflection the last 27 days have been a massive journey (in more than just the physical sense) and Mission676 has certainly achieved its dual aims of raising the profile of the work done by the Cambridge Community Trust and providing a solid financial footing for it as the club moves forward.

Jez has been humbled (his words) by the giving but remember that for those who haven’t yet got round to donating there is still time to do so.  The club is asking for donations to be made through its Just Giving page.

Securing the future of Community Radio

Cambridge Radio is the Community broadcaster for Cambridge and South Cambs.

Our brief is to give a voice to those sometimes excluded from traditional media. And the presenters you hear on air are all volunteers themselves who give up their time for free. We do it because we believe our perspective matters – because it might well be your perspective, too.

If everyone who listens to our shows, our podcasts, the businesses we feature, helps to pay for it, our future would be much more secure.

You can support Cambridge Radio by giving monthly or by making a one-off contribution.
