Day 26 and the penultimate day of the walk saw Jez get to within 26 miles of the end.
Tomorrow will be hugely busy with many people joining for all or part of the last stretch including Josh Coulson, Liam Hughes, Luke Berry and Luke Chadwick plus a number of the major sponsors including Peter Reason from R Costings and representatives from Sapura.
The total has now reached more than £106,000 and Jez is still exhorting people to dig deep and keep the money rolling in.
The end can’t come soon enough for Jez now and he took the opportunity to announce that this was to be his last marathon charity walk but we’ll believe it when we see it (or don’t?)
Having followed Jez for the last 3 weeks and been through the highs and lows of this mammoth effort it is only right and proper to pay tribute to a man who loves his club and has managed to overcome physical and mental hardship to raise the money needed for Cambridge United to reach out and touch the lives of thousands of people over the coming months and years.
The club is asking for donations to be made through its Just Giving page.
