Mission 676: Day 25

Jez joined by chairmanDay 25 and Jez was visited today by a number of people including United Chairman Dave Doggett, Colin Proctor (pictured left) as well as coaches James Cutting and Johnny Herd.

Dave bravely completed 18 miles and was feeling sore by the end but at least he didn’t pass out like James managed at the end of the day (See how James explained what happened here).

As well as walking Dave and Jez had time to continue planning for next year – and Jez seems to be using the walk as a way of getting everyone to come to him for the meetings as he also had Mark Bonner (Youth Team Coach) and Robert Smith (Finance Director) joining him today and tomorrow.

As the end draws near Jez is finding it hard not to keep thinking about the finish line and that is making life difficult mentally.  The walk has provided many highs and lows but through it all Jez has been positive and this was helped as the money has rolled in but he urged those who hadn’t yet given to make the effort and try and push the total to £125,000

The club is asking for donations to be made through its Just Giving page.

Securing the future of Community Radio

Cambridge Radio is the Community broadcaster for Cambridge and South Cambs.

Our brief is to give a voice to those sometimes excluded from traditional media. And the presenters you hear on air are all volunteers themselves who give up their time for free. We do it because we believe our perspective matters – because it might well be your perspective, too.

If everyone who listens to our shows, our podcasts, the businesses we feature, helps to pay for it, our future would be much more secure.

You can support Cambridge Radio by giving monthly or by making a one-off contribution.
