Day 24 and Jez left West Ham first thing this morning having stayed in the West Ham hotel overnight which turns out to be an executive box!
Today he was joined by some of the CRC youth shadow teams and despite the age difference they struggled to keep up with him and he lost them somewhere around Brentwood.
Spare a thought for Jez whilst we’ve been enjoying the fantastic weather as its not been so easy for him, especially yesterday in London. Due to the traffic he had to travel without a support vehicle and so there was no massage or ice packs and he had to walk carrying what he needed for the day!
Back at the Abbey Stadium Claire and Naomi, who work in the back office, were also embarking on a marathon (pictured left) as they started walking 124 laps of the pitch over 7 hours – finishing at 1am in the morning.
While the walk is going on the business of football carries on and Jez met up with Richard Money and Ben Strang (Cheif Scout) in the evening to plan for the U’s first season in the football league for 9 years
