Another fine day for walking with the sun shining and a light breeze. The walking is definitely getting easier now that the end is in sight.
As promised Jez was joined on the walk by TV Celeb Max Rushden (An avid Cambridge United fan) who left the Soccer AM studios straight after transmission finished to join Jez in Carshalton. Attempts were made to persuade Max to walk 6.76 miles but in the end it was more like 676 yards.
Jez was also joined by members of the Cambridge University Varsity football team. They walked into London with him and would also join him on the Sunday morning leg before going Wembley for the U’s play off final.
The plan today was to finish slightly early so the Jez could get the recovery work out of the way and then sit in front of the TV for the FA Cup. He had contemplated going to Wembley but in the end he decided against it as it would have meant having to skimp on the physio and ice bath which could end up costing him dear later on.
Tomorrow is a massive day and Jez will be doing a short (10 mile) walk before joining Richard and the team at Wembley.
