Having ticked of the homes of both Newcastle United and Sunderland, Jez now moved off toward the KC Stadium, home of Hull City FC.
On the way he had an unexpected brush with the local police who had responded to reports of someone walking on the busy A19. After discussing the problem at some length he was presented with two choices – either accept a lift to the next junction on the A19 or finish the walk now. Wisely Jez chose to accept the lift and he was taken a short distance to meet up with the support team at the Billingham exit.
Towards the end of the day Jez started to develop a problem with his calf but after extensive work by Eamon and a session in the ice bath it settled down and he had an early night ready for the hard work ahead on Day 3.
