Mission 676: Day 15

The Blister Pain BarrierDay 15 – Jez struggled to get started with the blisters really causing a problem.  The paracetamol helped with the pain but Jez needed a dry day to allow them to recover.  Fortunately for him the walking gods were looking favourably at him and it stayed dry all day.

After a slow start, the pace picked up and Jez knocked out another 12 miles reaching 376 miles  which meant there were only another 300 to go (and only 104 to go to Southampton).

Jez was amused to find that the support team were not quite taking the healthy eating message to heart – they were secretly stocking up on chocolate bars, chocolate biscuits, fruit gums and  and iced Belgian buns.

Another 3 days before Jez can cross of the most Southerly of the clubs he is visiting and can then head towards London for the capitals clubs – Oh and of course there is the small matter of Wembley on Sunday the 18th and a chance to climb out of the conference and into League 2.

The club is asking for donations to be made through its Just Giving page.

Securing the future of Community Radio

Cambridge Radio is the Community broadcaster for Cambridge and South Cambs.

Our brief is to give a voice to those sometimes excluded from traditional media. And the presenters you hear on air are all volunteers themselves who give up their time for free. We do it because we believe our perspective matters – because it might well be your perspective, too.

If everyone who listens to our shows, our podcasts, the businesses we feature, helps to pay for it, our future would be much more secure.

You can support Cambridge Radio by giving monthly or by making a one-off contribution.
