Mission 676: Day 14

Scholars join JezDay 14 – a huge milestone – the half way point – “Its All downhill from here” said Jez (apart from the up and coming Chilterns).

A miserable day with virtually constant rain meant wet shoes and socks and aggravated blisters that were really starting to be a problem.

Jez was joined today by a number of the U’s scholars who accompanied him on the morning leg of the walk to the Hawthorns.  Once the party arrived they were whisked off to the training ground where Jez met up with Ben Foster  – West Brom keeper, who completed the Keepy Up challenge before Jez left the scholars behind and walked on to Aston Villa.

Jez was greeted at Aston Villa by another goalkeeper Jed Steer, who spent a month on loan with the U’s last Season.  Jed also completed the Keepy Up challenge.

Having ticked off two more clubs (now 10 in total) Jez set off on the 4 day section to Southampton.

The club is asking for donations to be made through its Just Giving page.

Securing the future of Community Radio

Cambridge Radio is the Community broadcaster for Cambridge and South Cambs.

Our brief is to give a voice to those sometimes excluded from traditional media. And the presenters you hear on air are all volunteers themselves who give up their time for free. We do it because we believe our perspective matters – because it might well be your perspective, too.

If everyone who listens to our shows, our podcasts, the businesses we feature, helps to pay for it, our future would be much more secure.

You can support Cambridge Radio by giving monthly or by making a one-off contribution.
