Day 13 and a difficult but interesting day that saw Jez being driven to the West Brom Ground on the day before he would arrive on foot. The reason for the break in the walk was so that he could do an interview with the BBC. So it was all stop, drive to the Hawthorns (whilst having legs iced and massaged), do the interview and then drive back to the exact point where the walk stopped.
Jez also managed to make an appearance on Sky Sports in an interview that was filmed the day before at Stoke – who knows maybe there is a a pundit job for him when he eventually hangs up the “Director of Football” suit
As Jez has commented in the past, the days when he has visited grounds have often been difficult as he is at the whim of the club for timings. However the publicity generated by such press events can only help in the ultimate goal of raising £200,000
Despite the need for rest and relaxation after a long days walk it didn’t go too well for the team as he was interrupted in the ice bath at 11:30 by a fire alarm in the hotel which meant everyone had to be evacuated.
The club is asking for donations to be made through its Just Giving page.
