Day 11 and Jez’s blister is still causing a lot of pain. Wet weather in the afternoon is only going to make it worse.
After the delays of yesterday the team decided to complete a couple of extra miles to get them back on target and that meant a late finish and Jez feared that he may have overdone it – however the magic hands of the physio left his legs feeling in much better shape
The aim tomorrow is that the walk will reach the Brittania Stadium , home of Stoke City, sometime around lunchtime and Jez will meet up with Adrian Hurst, head of Stoke City’s Community Trust and talk about the community work that Stoke do. Jez is hoping to speak to a number of the clubs community leaders to see if they can share ideas and best practice so that the money raised on the walk will be put to best use.
The walk is now starting to attract national media attention and Jez has featured in an article in the Telegraph and an even better one in the Guardian the publicity should help in Jez’s fundraising aims
Don’t forget you can follow the walk on twitter – @Mission676 and it has a facebook page and a vimeo page
The total raised to date is just over £77,000 and Jez is closing in on the halfway point in both the fundraising target and the walk.
The club is asking for donations to be made through its Just Giving page.
