Day 10 – 250 miles down and 7 clubs ticked off.
It was a busy day, with visits to both Anfield and Goodison Park and then a car trip back to Manchester to meet Alex Williams MBE (Executive Manager of City in the Community) at the Etihad Stadium.
Jez was impressed with the work City were doing and, in his discussion with Alex, he expressed his hope that the money raised on the #Mission676 walk would help Cambridge emulate (albeit on a smaller scale) the work City were doing in the community.
Jez is keen for people to get down to the Cambridge XI vs arsenal U21 game at the R Costings Abbey Stadium this Friday at 7pm. The team that Richard Money puts out will be a strong one and it will be the last chance that U’s fans get to see some of the squad before the Play Off finals at Wembley on the 18th. In addition the Cambridge team will be presented with the Skrill Premiership Runners-Up trophy and medals. For further details see the Cambridge United Web Site
Apart from a bad blister yesterday was a good day for Jez in terms of the way his legs are holding up but with the halfway point still 3 days away its proving to be a mental strain as well.
The club is asking for donations to be made through its Just Giving page.
