Matthew Parrott: Threads Through Creation

Ely Cathedral’s Threads Through Creation exhibition features 12 giant embroidered silk panels that explore the story of Creation. Inspired by Genesis, the first book in the Bible, textile artist Jacqui Parkinson re-tells the story in a vibrant combination of layers of silk, hand-dyed materials, metallic leathers and gold leaf. She spoke to Matthew Parrott.

Cambridge 105 Radio is the Community broadcaster for the city and South Cambridgeshire.

Our brief is to give a voice to those sometimes excluded from traditional media. And the presenters you hear on air are all volunteers themselves who give up their time for free. We do it because we believe our perspective matters – because it might well be your perspective, too.
