Le Tour de France: Trophy visits Cambridge

On Saturday 1st March, Le Tour de France trophy was officially unveiled in Cambridge’s Grande Arcade.

Cambridge will be the starting point for Stage 3 of the competition, which comes to the city on the 7th July.

Matt Webb spoke to Tim Bick, Leader of Cambridge City Council and Noel Kavanagh, cycling champion for Cambridgeshire County Council about the importance of the trophy’s appearance and how preparations for Cambridge’s leg of the world’s biggest cycling event are going.

Cambridge 105 Radio is the Community broadcaster for the city and South Cambridgeshire.

Our brief is to give a voice to those sometimes excluded from traditional media. And the presenters you hear on air are all volunteers themselves who give up their time for free. We do it because we believe our perspective matters – because it might well be your perspective, too.
