The Local Government Association has said that David Cameron’s flagship National Citizen Service (NCS) should have its funding cut. On Monday young people from Cambridge currently in the programme told Leigh about the fete they’re organising to raise money for Addenbrooke’s Intensive Care Unit and why they believe NCS should stay.

Our brief is to give a voice to those sometimes excluded from traditional media. And the presenters you hear on air are all volunteers themselves who give up their time for free. We do it because we believe our perspective matters – because it might well be your perspective, too.
