Greg’s Afternoon Record Club: Honey and the Bear

Greg welcomes songwriters Jon Hart and Lucy Sampson, aka Honey and the Bear, into the Record Club this week. Before disappearing to Australia, Jon was a regular at the Alma Songsmith sessions in Cambridge entertaining the assembled musicians with his deathdefying technical masterpiece Wristburner. Now back in Blighty, Jon and Lucy have been collaborating on a new set of original songs that echo new shoots on old roots and they will be playing a few numbers live on the show. Harmonies soar, pulses race and melodies sparkle that promise to leave the audience with a tingle or two.

Our brief is to give a voice to those sometimes excluded from traditional media. And the presenters you hear on air are all volunteers themselves who give up their time for free. We do it because we believe our perspective matters – because it might well be your perspective, too.
